What we build

From a remap to a rebuild

Performance work covers a wide range, from a software change that takes an afternoon to an engine that comes out of the car. All of it starts with the same conversation about what you actually want the car to do.

Engine tuning

Software calibration on turbocharged and naturally aspirated European engines. More usable power and better throttle response, within what the hardware can safely support.

Vehicle programming

Module coding and retrofit programming on European electronic systems — enabling features, adapting replacement modules and configuring options the way you want them.

Transmission upgrades

Shift calibration and driveline work to match the engine's output, so a tuned car does not simply push the problem downstream into the gearbox.

Suspension & handling

Springs, dampers and bushings chosen for how the car is actually driven. A road car and a track-day car want very different things from the same platform.

Performance exhaust

Exhaust systems fitted and set up properly, with attention to how the car sounds at idle and on the highway — not only at full throttle.

Engine & gearbox builds

Full engine and transmission repair, rebuild and replacement, including machine work. The heaviest jobs in the shop, and the ones the shop was built to take on.

How we work

Sorted first, then quicker

Tuning multiplies whatever the engine already is. If there is a boost leak, a tired clutch or a cooling system on its last legs, more power finds it fast. So performance jobs start with a health check, and anything that needs attention gets quoted before the fun part.

Worth knowing

Modifications and your factory warranty

If your car is still inside its manufacturer warranty, a modification can affect coverage on related components. We will tell you where that line sits before you commit, so the decision is yours and it is an informed one. Our own 24 month / 24,000 mile parts and labor warranty covers the work we carry out; it does not extend to parts you supply yourself.

Questions

Performance & Tuning — asked and answered

Will a tune hurt the reliability of my car?

It depends entirely on how far you go and what condition the car is in first. A conservative calibration on a healthy engine, with the cooling and fuelling systems in good order, asks very little that the hardware was not already designed for. Chasing the largest possible number on a high-mileage engine is a different proposition, and we will say so.

Can you program modules and retrofit features?

Yes. Programming European electronic systems is one of the things the shop specializes in — coding replacement modules, adapting control units and configuring features. Tell us the car and what you want it to do and we will tell you whether that platform supports it.

Can I supply my own parts?

You can, and on performance work people often want a specific brand. The one thing to be aware of is that our 24 month / 24,000 mile warranty does not cover customer-supplied parts — if one fails, the labor to put it right is chargeable again. Parts we source are covered.

Do you build engines and gearboxes, or only tune them?

Both. Engine and transmission repair, rebuild and full replacement are all done here, machine work included. Those are the longest jobs in the shop, so they are booked in rather than dropped in — call and we will talk through timing.

Tell us what you want it to do

A remap, a retrofit or a full build — start with a conversation. Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 6:00pm, and Saturday 10:00am to 2:00pm.
